Avoiding Credit Cards with Annual Fees

I wonder why anyone would ever get credit cards with annual fees. I suppose they must not qualify for the ones without the fees. There are so many cards that don’t have any sort of annual fees I always look through the options on the instant credit cards website to see what is available and pick the best option that is out there. I do this when I am unhappy with a card and want to replace it with something else since I don’t want to have too many cards at any one time. Unfortunately I can’t replace one of my cards since it would really shorten my credit history.
