Even though you’ll hardly notice any difference in suppliers’ power rates, you can make up for the costs through their frill offerings, such as rebates, loyalty discounts, and signup privileges. If you’re currently locked to a contract with a supplier, consider the option of paying the terminal fee before you switch. July is a bit far off, but you’ll have to ensure you’re signed up to the right supplier when the carbon tax takes effect.
