I got a phone call from my mom a few days ago. She told me that she had just been on the phone with my brother, and she wanted to see if we would be able to come up for the holidays. I told her that my wife and I were currently trying to get some debt help, and a flight back home would probably put us back in the hole. She told me that she would pay for our flights if she needed to. I explained to her that if she really wanted us there, she really would have to pay for them.
