By admin | January 27, 2008

According to the Trade Council of Australia, it’s a fundamental right of every worker and their families to avail a healthy and safe workplace. According to the British traditional model of Workplace Health and Safety Act Australia or the Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Act that came into existence in 1960′s demanded some modifications.

These modifications required more unified and integrated channelizing of OHS structure. It required standard settings in three basic formations as broad and more unified approach, standardization of general duties and detailed provisions in OHS regulations, codes and practices. Under strict jurisdiction, these formations primarily demanded a duty supervisor to provide and maintain a work environment which is healthy & secured for the workers.
