The Ins And Outs Of Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery

Despite the fact that there are a lot of different types of weight loss surgery being performed today, one method which has stood the test of time and is still a popular choice is roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery. Here the stomach is considerably reduced in size and the newly created small stomach is then connected to the intestine in such a way that part of the intestine is bypassed. This provides a dual solution to the problem of obesity by not only restricting the quantity of food which you can eat but also lowering the number of calories which you are able to absorb through a shortened digestive tract.
