Flood Damage and Mold

Mold, Mildew, Mushrooms and Man. That was actually a course I took in college. I enjoyed the professor and I got high marks and I wish that I could say that it prepared me for the “real world.” But mold and mildew are totally different beasts outside of a textbook. When my home suffered from flood damage last winter I didn’t realize it until the following spring. We were doing a simple floor renovation to increase the value of our home. That was when i saw the mold that had been forming throughout the months, quietly hiding beneath the floorboards. Let’s just say, my professor would have been thrilled if I had taken pictures.
