Repaint House Trim

When we first bought our house we already were aware that there was extensive damage in the siding. One of our first major projects on the house was to replace all the siding. Everything now has been replaced but there are a couple of places that were still good and we just need to repaint those areas. Is the defy original synthetic wood stain a good product to use and can we get it to match the new siding we have? The colors are obviously not going to be from the same company and I want to make sure that I can get a similar color.
