Don’t Buy on This Dip

There is a saying in the investment community that one should "buy on the dips." This can work well in a bull market, but it is deadly in a bear market; and there is no question but that we are in a bear market now. CandleWave’s latest investment newsletter discusses the next likely progress of the stock market, and contains a special short review of the cover story in a recent issue of The New York Times, the subject of which is Ben Bernanke, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve. The burden of the review is that whenever a cover story about a person or a commodity appears in a major newspaper, it usually bodes ill for the subject.
