The Lighter the Better
By admin | August 2, 2008
If it’s time to fill your golf bag with clubs, and you’re new to the sport of golf, you will need to make some decisions. You’ll need a set of irons and a set of woods. With irons, you typically carry a 3 iron through the pitching wedge, for a total of eight clubs. Then, it’s typical to have one or two fairway woods plus a driver. When you select your fairway woods, take into consideration the weight of the club. For example, a graphite fairway wood will be much lighter. And you may find that you get a much better swing. However, you should also note that the price of a wood with a graphite shaft is more expensive. Depending on how much you plan to golf, you may be able to justify the expense.
