Is Go To My PC Worth Subscribing To?

I was looking for a good solution that will allow me to access my work computer while I’m away from the office and initially thought the only real way to do this would be to get something like Go To My PC, but then I started hearing about other packages and started wondering if I could get something that’s just as good for a little less money. A lot of people are talking about software that’s already built into Windows — Remote Desktop or something like that — but I can’t figure out where it is or how to use it. Are there other options out there that I’m missing?
