Is Xoftspy from Pareto Logic a Scam?

It seems that this anti spyware/adware software comes from an unknown background. A lot of the reviews I see online that say this is a rogue program seem to be from awhile ago. All of the newer reviews I see of this program rate it as a great piece of anti spyware sofware. I guess the question becomes is XoftSpy a scam? From my own research I come to the conclusion that no it is not. It seems that as of now Xoftspy keeps all of its spyware definitions up to date. I did notice that Pareto Logic also has more pieces of software to choose from.
