Denmark - A Great Venue For A Short Break
By admin | November 20, 2008
People visiting Denmark on a cultural mini-break will not be disappointed! Copenhagen offers theatres, galleries, music venues and museums at seemingly every turn. This city is mad for jazz, you will find sessions running all over the city as well as the summertime Copenhagen Jazz Festival. If you wander along by Stroget in the Nytorv district, you will discover a crowd or two enjoying the street performers performing their art. Other popular cultural attractions in and around the city include the Danish Design Centre, the Arken Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of Denmark and Denmark Opera House. If you are looking for inspiration in Denmark’s capital city, you don’t need to look any further. However, should you wish to explore what lies beyond the popular city, you should hire a car at Copenhagen Airport and take off for the Danish Viking heritage experience at the ancient Viking city of Roskilde. A tightly knit city centre that is largely pedestrianised awaits as does its solemn looking thirteenth century Cathedral and the Viking Ship Museum.
